The direction changed. The experience moved with it

Tranche Finance evolved from borrowing and lending, through staking, towards structured risk management. These were changes in product direction, not additions to a fixed feature list. Each stage changed what users needed to understand before acting.

One product, reconsidered over time

01 / Borrow / lend

Start with the decisions people face

I helped build the application from the ground up while the product itself was still developing. Beginning with borrowing and lending meant shaping the architecture and the user experience together, rather than inheriting either.

The question was which financial complexity the user needed to see, and which complexity the application could carry. Hiding everything would not make the decision clearer.

02 / Staking

A new model needed a new reading

As the product moved towards staking, the interface could not remain an unquestioned constant. The model changed what information mattered and how actions should be presented. Product collaboration meant reconsidering flows while keeping the application maintainable and able to keep moving.

03 / Structured risk

Make the consequence understandable

The later protocol separated exposure to yield-generating DeFi assets. Tranche A represented fixed-rate exposure; Tranche B carried variable-rate exposure with a different risk and return profile. The interface needed to make that distinction understandable at the point of choice, without turning each screen into a protocol manual.

Keep the contextclose to the choice

SLICE added community governance, including decisions about the protocol and treasury. SLICE and SLICE-LP participation and rewards brought further flows alongside staking and risk choices. Clarity meant keeping the context close to each action while leaving the frontend architecture able to support a changing product.

The model evolved. The ability to change remained

The application developed alongside the product, from its early financial models to its structured risk direction. Early deposits brought real use into that process. The work preserved room to evolve both the system and the experience as the product found its shape.
